Karen Community Association-UK would like to invite you to the celebration of Karen National New Year 2752 on Saturday 05 Jan from 11.00am to 2.00pm.

 Venue: Forge Valley Community School Hall, Wood Lane, Sheffield S6 5HG.

In 1938 Karen national leaders’ demands to the British colonial administration for the Karen New Year to be recognized, and declared an official holiday were finally agreed. The Karen National New Year celebrations are held during the pleasant month of Th’Lay.

A comprehensive programme will be distributed on the day and it includes a few short speeches, Karen songs and a special Karen Don dance and a delicious buffet lunch. We would be delighted if you could join us on this special day.
