ျမ၀တီကို ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ တိုက္တုန္းက နအဖ အင္အားက ၈၀ ေလာက္ပဲရွိတယ္။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တုိ႔က သူတို႔ထက္ အင္အားမ်ားတယ္။ တိုက္ပြဲစ ျဖစ္တာနဲ႔ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔က လက္နက္္ငယ္ေတြနဲ႔ပဲ သူတို႔ကို ထိေအာင္ပစ္တာ၊ သူတုိ႔က လက္နက္ၾကီးေတြနဲ႔ ထင္သလိုပစ္တာ၊ လူထုေတြထိကုန္တယ္။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ေတာ္ေတာ္ စိတ္မေကာင္းဘူး။ ထုိင္းဖက္ကိုလဲ သူတိုပဲ ပစ္တာ။ ဆက္ျပီး ျမ၀တီ ကိုထိန္းထားႏိုင္ေပမဲ့ လူထုထိမွာေၾကာက္လို႔ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ အစီအစဥ္ ရွိရွိနဲ႔ပဲ ဆုတ္ခြာေပးလိုက္တာပါ။ ေသဆံုးသြားတဲ့ ျမ၀တီက လူထုေတြအတြက္ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ စိတ္မေကာင္းပါဘူး။ အခုလဲ ျမ၀တီကို ဆုတ္ေပးလိုက္ေပမဲ့ က်န္တဲ့ေနရာေတြမွာ တိုက္ပြဲေတြ ဆက္ေဖၚသြားမယ္ ဆက္တိုက္သြားပါ့မယ္။ ေန႔စဥ္လိုလို ဘုရားသံုးဆူ၊ ေ၀ေလ နဲ႔ ၾကားခံေနရာေတြမွာ တုိက္ပြဲေတြ ရွိေနပါေသးတယ္။ တိုင္းရင္းသားေတြ တပ္ေပါင္းစုေတြလဲ ညီညီညာညာနဲ႔ ၀ိုင္းတိုက္ၾကပါ၊ အတြင္းအျပင္ စည္းစည္းလံုးလံုး ရွိၾကရင္ေကာင္းမယ္။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ကို တတ္ႏိုင္တဲ့ ဖက္က ၀ိုင္းကူညီ ၾကပါ။

ကြ်န္ေတာဆိုရင္္ ငတ္ၿပတ္ေနတဲ့ ျပည္သူလူထုကို စာနာတယ္။ နအဖ ရဲေဘာ္ေလးေတြကုိလဲ သနားတယ္။ တပ္မွာ ဘာမွ မရွိၾကဘူး။ တခ်ဳိ႕ဆို ေဘာင္းဘီတိုေလးေတြနဲ႔ ကြ်န္ေတာ္သူတို႔ကိုပါ ယူနီေဖာင္းေတြ ထုတ္ေပးတယ္။ သူတို႔ရဲ႕အရာရွိ တခ်ိဳ႕ကိုေတာ့ မႀကိဳက္ဘူး။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔အေပၚ နားလည္တဲ့ အရာရွိေတြလဲ ရွိတယ္။ အခု တက္လာတဲ့ တိုင္းမွဴးက ကြ်န္ေတာ္ဆီကို ဖုန္းဆက္ေတာ့ ေဟ့ေကာင္ ဘာညာနဲ႔ သိပ္မိုက္ရုိင္းတယ္။ မင္းဘာေတြ လုပ္တာလဲ ဘာညာနဲ႔ ဒါနဲ႔ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ဖုန္း လံုး၀မဖြင့္ေတာ့ဘူး။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ဘာလုပ္လဲ ေမးဖုိ႔ထက္ သူတို႔ ဘာမွားေနတယ္ ဆိုတာကို သူတို႔ သိသင့္တယ္။ ၁၅ ႏွစ္ေတာင္ သူတို႔နဲ႔ တြဲလုပ္လာခဲ့တာ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ သိျပီ ၊ သူတို႔ေတြ မရုိးသားဘူး။ သိပ္ လူလည္က်တယ္။

နအဖ က ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔အေပၚေပးတဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံေရး အခြင့္အေရးဆိုတာ အသက္ရွဴ ခြင့္ပဲ ေပးတာပါ ။ အသက္ရွည္ခြင့္ေပးတာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။ အခု နယ္ျခားေစာင့္တပ္ လုပ္လုိက္ရင္ အသက္ရွဴခြင့္ေတာင္ ေသခ်ာမွာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔ လူထုအတြက္ ေကာင္းရာေကာင္းက်ိဳး ဘာမွ လုပ္ခြင့္ရွိေတာ့မွာ မဟုတ္ဖူး ဆိုၿပီး စစ္ဦးစီးခ်ဳပ္ေစာလားပြယ္က ေၿပာၾကားခဲ့ေၾကာင္း သတင္းရရွိပါသည္။

Burma releases pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi

The Burmese military authorities have released the pro-democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, from house arrest.

Appearing outside her home in Rangoon, Ms Suu Kyi told thousands of jubilant supporters they had to "work in unison" to achieve their goals.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner has been detained for 15 of the past 21 years. It is not yet clear if any conditions have been placed on her release.

US President Barack Obama welcomed her release as "long overdue".

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said Ms Suu Kyi was an "inspiration", and called on Burma to free all its remaining political prisoners.

Ms Suu Kyi, 65, was freed after her latest period of house arrest expired and was not renewed by the military government.

Her release comes six days after the political party supported by the military won the country's first election in 20 years. The ballot was widely condemned as a sham.

'Long overdue'

For more than 24 hours crowds of people had been waiting anxiously near Ms Suu Kyi's home and the headquarters of her now-disbanded National League for Democracy (NLD) party for news of her fate.

Many wore T-shirts sporting the slogan "We stand with Aung San Suu Kyi".

On Saturday afternoon, a stand-off developed between armed riot police and several hundred people gathered on the other side of the security barricade blocking the road leading to her lakeside home. Some of them later sat down in the road in an act of defiance.

As tensions rose, reports came in at about 1700 (1030 GMT) that official cars had been seen entering Ms Suu Kyi's compound, and then that unnamed officials had formally read the release order to her.

Hundreds of people then surged forward and rushed forwards to greet her.

The ecstatic crowd swelled to three or four thousand before Ms Suu Kyi, in a traditional lilac dress, finally appeared, about 30 minutes later, on a platform behind the gate of her compound.

She took a flower from someone in the crowd and placed it in her hair.

Letter to all Karen around the world to help the needs of Karen people under the recent attacks of the SPDC troops

We, the Karen Community Based Organizations (KCBO[1]) are writing to request all Karen around the world to cooperate with us as we prepare to help Karen people who have and may again soon flee their homes in Karen state and Burma’s border areas as the consequences of the undemocratic election process.

We have witnessed that the elections were clearly neither free nor fair. But they have also created more refugees and displacement before, during and after the election. The current incidents in Myawaddy, Three Pagodas Pass and Waw Lay Kee provide clear evidence of how the SPDC are strategizing to eliminate all ethnic opposition, including ceasefire groups that have refused to be under its direct control in the Border Guard Force, as required by the 2008 Constitution. The junta will carry out their plan and more people will continue to flee.

The SPDC have been sending more troops in the areas where the incidents are taking place. Currently, the Waw Lay Kee village in the KNU-6th Brigade area is occupied by SPDC troops. More than 3,000 villagers fled to Thailand's side since the 9th of November at this location. Most villagers have returned to Burma's side but many are hiding outside the village and waiting for the situation to be safe enough for them to return to their homes. There are some organizations that provided water, food, medicine, and clothing while villagers took refuge in Thailand's side.

In order to provide assistance to Karen people for further attacks as Karen people will be directly affected by the SPDC's policy, we the KCBO are now organizing to coordinate to help our people. We discussed the needs will be divided into 2 different categories:

1. Support for villagers: Villagers need health care, food, shelter, clothing and basic hygiene supplies

2. Support for activities against Burma's military: this is the means to provide supplies to strengthen the activities to defend our Karen people.

Therefore, we KCBO are requesting all Karen individuals and organizations worldwide to contribute for the needs of displaced villagers and activities against the Burma's military. It is optional for individual and organizations if they are willing to provide only one or both forms of support.
